Ingredients: 

200g dried dates, stoned and chopped

200ml oat milk or rice milk

25g dairy-free margarine e.g Pure

200g Porridge oats

100ml apple juice optional - add some dried fruit.

Method: 

1) grease an 18x23cm baking dish and preheat ovoen to 150c / gas mark 5

2) place dates and milk in a saucepan and bring ot boil. simmer for 10minutes.

3) put the dates and milk into a blender and puree. whilst still hot, stir in the margarine till melted.

4) add oats stirring thoroughly. pour in the apple juice. leave for 5 minutes to soften the oats.

5) add dried fruits of your choice if you want to.

6) place mixture in baking dish and bake for 10 minutes.

7) once cool, cut into squares or rectangles.
