Apples with Millet Crisp - dairy and gluten free

60g (2oz) dairy and soya free margarine
60g (2oz) soft brown sugar (or demerara sugar for extra crunch)
120g (4oz) millet flakes
350g (1Ib) cooking apples
100g (3.5oz) sultanas
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1) Preheat the oven to 190c / 375f / gas mark 5
2) Cream the margarine and sugar together and then mix in the millet flakes.
3) Wash, peel and slice the apples and then place in the bottom of the oven proof dish.
4) add the cinnamon and sultanas to the fruit and mix well.
5) Spread the crisp topping over the top and bake in the oven for about 1 hour or until brown on top.
Serve on it's own or with a scoop of dairy and gluten free icecream or a generous serving of dairy and gluten free custard!
