Stuttering in children under 5
My son has been stuttering on and off since he was 3 (he is now 4) and i found a great site that gives advice on how parents can help their child with their stuttering.
some of the suggestions are to make eye contact when your child is having difficulty talking, to slow down your rate of speech when talking to your child, don't let your child feel rushed, set time aside each day to listen to your child in a relaxed atmosphere, take turns to talk etc.
The organisation is called BSA and the link is: http://www.stammering.org/parents_help.html
Hope it helps.
