Special Needs Holiday Centre

I am looking for some advice and help.

I operate special needs school transport and take over 600 special needs children to school on a daily basis. A mother whose child we have taken to Stevenage for the past 6 years has repeatedly asked me if I know of a special needs holiday facility in Spain or Portugal. Her daughter needs a hoist to and from her wheelchair to bed and the swimming pool. I over a period of time have looked and looked to no avail.

In my quest for such a facility I have found and am purchasing an 18 bed 2 floor hotel in the Algarve, the hotel is on the outskirts of a small town and is set in 2.75 acres of flat ground surrounded in orange groves. It is my intention to open the first special needs holliday educational and sporting facility in the Algarve, offering a safe well equipped and well managed environment. I am at this time looking towards the experiences of individuals, companies and organisations to ensure that we adequately cater for the needs the special needs community, enabling us to give a special holiday experience at a realistic price. The facilities that I intend to provide are:

2 room connecting family rooms
Single room family rooms

All rooms to have en suite, TV, internet, radio, soft colour scheme, views over terrace and gardens.

Kitchens providing special dietary requirements.

Barque area, overlooking the fenced pool area and gardens and dance area.

Swimming pool with hoist and a Hot Tub.

Astra turf sports area, Tennis court, Putting Green, Beach Volley Ball, and an indoor sports hall.

Garden area featuring a large Mulberry Tree, Orange, Lemmon, pomegranate trees and established palms.

Pets corner the home of. Sheep, Goats, Donkey, Mule, Alpaca

The property is 10 minutes from the beach and Ria formosa nature reserve, 10 minutes from the mountains, 2 minutes from the town and only 20 minutes from Faro Airport.
