Your experience:
We had a lovely meal out at the Brewers Fayre in Weymouth! The staff were really helpful and happy to get us their allergy folder - which had a really easy to read detailed list of ingredients for each meal. They were willing to change meals around to suit the childrens diet (dairy, egg and soya free).
They also kindly made up a pudding for them - it was a pot of chocolate flavour icecream sauce (that was dairy free!) and marshmallows, slices of banana and strawberries to dip in it!
I would definitely eat at a Brewers Fayre again with the children.
You can also read the allergy list online now - which is handy to do in advance as I found they couldn't always eat meals on the childrens menu so I needed to check foods on the adult menu and ask for smaller portions.

Your experience:
We decided to give Prezzo a go last week and went to the one in Weymouth. I have to say that the staff didn't make us feel very relaxed and comfortable asking about the menu and ingredients. They were reluctant to even check things and I had to push them. When we ordered the food, we found the waitor rude as he laughed at us and wrinkled his nose with distaste when we ordered cheeseless pizza. I found the whole experience uncomfortable and considered leaving but the children were desperate to try the food so we stayed.
Despite this experience, the food itself was very nice and the boys really enjoyed it. They are dairy, egg and soya free but were able to eat ciabatta to start, and pizza with pepperoni & spicy beef (without cheese).
We will definitely go to a Prezzo again but will try a different one.

Wow! We had a fantastic experience! We contacted them in advance to discuss our dietary requirements and they were very helpful. When we arrived for dinner, the head chef came out and walked me round the buffet (as much as you can eat) to show me everything that was safe for us to eat. There were plenty of foods that were dairy, egg and soya free e.g roast meats, vegetables, salads, salmon steaks, burgers, chips, beans, fruit etc. There were a few desserts we could have as well. With a play area and an evening entertainer too, I'd highly recommend a visit!

We went to this restaurant last week and asked if they could provide a meal for our children, who can't eat dairy, egg and soya. They were very helpful and had a detailed ingredients allergen sheet.
Our boys could have dough balls, pizza with pepperoni and other toppings -without cheese of course. They agreed we could bring in our own dairy-free margarine to dip the dough balls in and soya-free Cheezly to sprinkle on the cheese-less pizzas.
We were pleased with their responses and helpfulness.

The owners (Lynn and Craig) of this restaurant were fantastic and understanding about our sons restricted diet. They said they cook homemade food and can be flexible and would even make something just for the boys.
You may need to book in advance though as very popular and they don't open on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Burger King do have a good allergy/ingredient list that shows every ingredient in all products - including the sauces. If you are on a dairy/soya/egg free diet then you can have the plain hamburger and fries only but this is at least better than at McDonalds where I discovered the buns contain soya. Hope this helps someone.

TGI Fridays have updated their menu and it now says whether a product is lactose free or gluten free. They told us they are happy to change meals around to meet dietary requirements and they have a range of foods on the kids menu which are free from either gluten, dairy, soya or egg - their bbq chicken meal is free from all of 4 of those allergens! Check the ingredients haven't changed when you visit though. Well done TGI!!

La Tasca have gluten free options marked on their menus but they also have an allergen list on their website so you can plan what your family can eat before you go there - the link is: http://www.latasca.co.uk/menus/allergy-advice/ we found that the ribs on the kids menu were ok for our kids as they were dairy, soya and egg free.

e ate at Frankie & Bennys for the first time today and it was great. They were really understanding about the food allergies and offered to cook us any safe combination on the menu, we didn't have to stick to a particular dish. They also offered to chargrill some plain chicken and chips rather than the breaded chicken. Worth going to as they were very amenable and lovely to the children.
