Sleeping Problems

Hi

Is anyone else out there getting very little sleep? I have spent 4 years sleepless! My 4 year old has just started sleeping through but my 22month old is still waking at night and gets up really early- often 4.30ish!

Hope I'm not the only one!

Hi

After I wrote the initial post my eldest son stopped sleeping through again so we still have a lot of nights where they both wake. Our eldest is on average only waking once a night now which is better than it was but he does have some nights of insomnia and he often starts his day at 4.30.

Our youngest sleeps ok some nights but most often he wakes through the night. anything from 1-8 times a night. He complains of joint pains, tummy ache or says he just can't sleep and it can take him ages to go back off to sleep.

I tend to lie with them or use hot water bottles for pain and sometimes calpol if the pain is really bad.

Do you know why yours having problems sleeping?

Thanks

Kitty

Hiya

Sorry to hear he is having breathing problems, that must be really scary for you. Is he being seen by a paediatrician?

It's not easy when both don't sleep and you never get a chance to catch up on the sleep you've lost. I find it just builds up but i think my body has adjusted to it a lot now. The odd bad night is fine for me, its harder when you get a whole week or more of broken sleep though.

Do you have any help so you can sleep in the day?

hope you got some sleep last night!
