Is this swine flu?

My 5 year old has been ill since last Wednesday night. He has had fever now for 6 days and it tends to spike, so he appears to get better for a few hours then the fever comes back again and he is laid up in bed. It's not like him to want to just lie in bed. He has a tummy ache and headache and hasn't been eating till today when he tried a little bit of food. He has a cough and a runny nose and generally feels unwell.
He has had swabs taken but I don't know how long it will take to get results. The doctor has given us antibiotics to try to prevent any complications in case it is SF.
Has anyones child had swine flu? Does this sound like it?
Praying our youngest son doesn't catch it yet. I'd have thought he would get it by now??
Thanks
Kitty

We got the swab results back today and it isn't swine flu. He has influenza type B! it has really washed him out and I'm still struggling to get him to eat. He has lost 2kg - is this a normal amount of weight to lose? Even his trousers are loose!
He won't have his special calorie/vitamin drink anymore as he seems to have associated it with being ill and says he can't drink it or he'll be sick. Worried he won't get enough calories and vitamins without it!
Any tips gratefully received!
