Is this hayfever / rhinitis?

This time last year our son (now 7) had streaming nose, headaches, sores inside his nose that got infected etc and repeated chest and respiratory infections for a few months. We were seen by St Thomas's in the autumn and told it was allergic rhinitis and recent IGE results showed it was being caused by grass.
So he was given a nasal spray and cetirizine and he improved lots over the winter.
In the last 2 weeks the pouring nose has returned and at first i thought it was a cold. He has just had antibiotics too for an infection. As the nose isn't drying up at all - i'm now beginning to wonder if it isn't a cold and it's a repeat of last year? Can colds last 2 weeks?
Can anyway advise me as I don't know how long to give it before I get back in touch with St Thomas (who wanted to discharge us after seeing him a month ago and saying his nose looked really good) and ask for advice?
My son has EGID too to complicate matters.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kitty
