Can stammering be related to oral senstivity?

Speech Difficulties

My 4 year old has started stammering and he's really frustrated and upset by it. I just wondered if anyone knew if it could be related to his oral sensory senstitivity? Or could it be related to tiredness and stress caused by his EGID gut condition? Or is it likely to be unrelated to his existing health problems?
