4 year old with reflux

Hi
My 4 year old still seems to still get reflux episodes - the other day he said his tummy felt like 'a hot that goes up and up and bursts at the top and only stops hurting when it's cold again' - i think this definitely sounds like he's still getting reflux. he definitely had it a year ago as we saw it happening during a barium meal.
Does anyone else have an older child with reflux and have they found anything helps?
Thanks

hi ya my 4 year old also still suffers from reflux
is ur child on any medication?
my son is on lansprazole and erthmycin.
hes also off dairy and soya as this makes it worse
is ur child under a paed?
Hi Natalie
Yes my son is on ketitifen and azithromycin but he's not on anythign for the reflux as our paediatrician thought the reflux may be secondary to a condition called Eosinophilic Gastro Intestinal Disorder. He used to take omeprazole and gaviscon - maybe he needs these again?
we are also off dairy/soya and egg as they think this was making it worse. we definitely saw some improvements once we changed his diet but he still has reflux and mouth ulcers.
do you know why your son still has reflux? have you been given a definite diagnosis?
Kitty
