Healthy eating

Out of concern to ensure that my family stay healthy and that I feed them correctly, over the past year I have read a number of books on the subject of healthy eating. I have been shocked to discover that the government and food standards agency are misleading us. It seems that we should be eating the complete opposite of what we are being told is healthy for us. Our levels of obesity, diabetes, heart disease, cancer and other chronic illnesses are all rising steadily - because we eat the wrong food.

Soy

I have recently read ‘Trick and Treat’ by Barry Groves, ‘We Want Real Food’ by Graham Harvey and ‘Living Earth’ issue 237 by the Soil Association. Here I have learned that soy is not the perfect food we are led to believe it is. It contains toxins that not only reduce the absorption of vitamins and minerals, but also reduce thyroid activity, which affects our whole metabolism. It inhibits the absorption of zinc which is needed for proper development of the brain and nervous system, and has an important role in the immune system.

Forced Vaccination

It has come to my attention that The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) have taken over control of the UK vaccination schedule and now have the power to bring in new vaccines without government approval even if they haven't been safely tested. Prior to this, all new vaccines would have to pass through parliament and be voted on before they were introduced. Now the government is compelled to agree with anything JCVI say, even if there is no science to back it up.

Kinesiology / Orthodontics / Intolerances

My 12 year old son is wearing an Orhodontic Brace to pull his lower jaw forward and correct an under bite. He has also reached puberty. He has been complaining of feeling unwell for some time - sometimes his head hurts, sometimes his stomach and sometimes he feels very lethargic. During the first half of the summer holidays he had good days and bad. Halfway through the holidays his brace was adjusted to pull more on one side than the other. Within a couple of days he complained of a very stiff and painful jaw and one cheek swelled up.
