Love hurts

Just went up to Rubes making such strange high pitched cries. She was wailing "I'm hurting, farties hurting in my back. I want you to hug me." I tried to settle her in her bed but she was so sad I picked her out for a cuddle. After about 30 seconds, "I want back in my beddy. I want my dreams. I don't want it hurting." Put her back, tucked her up and she was asleep in a minute or two. Wierd - quite different from the usual patterns of complaint and what she wants me to do to help her. Sad, too. Obviously so sharp and horrible that just those few moments exhausted her...
Not blogging for advice, I know it's just one of those funny things, just wanted to get it out of my skull before I carry on working on this proofreading I'm doing. What a rocknroll Friday night...
